Mamaw Best's Christmas Chili

For as long as I can remember, Mamaw always had a pot of this chili sitting on the stove. It was hot and ready to be eaten as soon as we arrived to wait on Santa Clause to scare us to death.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • ½ cup onion chopped
  • 32 oz Bush's chili beans 2 cans
  • 32 oz Bush's chili beans (hot) 2 cans
  • 16 oz diced tomatoes 1 can
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes 1 can
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  • In a large pot, brown meat with diced onions. Drain excess fat.
  • Add water and chili powder to meat. Stir to combine
  • Empty all cans into beef mixture. Stir to combine.
  • Let simmer for several minutes to heat beans thru. Chili should be watery.
